Season Opener

So, in Nova Scotia, what does one do on a beautiful first day of the year?
Golf, of course!
Each year, on the first of January and the weather is permitting, Hartlen Point Forces Golf Club opens its gates and lets us die-hard golfers have a round of golf to start the year off right. This year, the weather was exceptionally fine so today there was a great turn out of golfers who just could not say no to the opportunity to get a few swings in. We even had a CTV News crew out there and I believe it will be shown on tonight’s news at 6 PM (I think the news crew was kinda focused on Malcome DeYoung's multi-coloured pants which were a sight to behold).
And now we just have to wait approximately 112 days (or 2,672 hours) for the course to open for the real 2011 season.
