Surely The Last of Golf For This Year

On the 4th I posted a picture of winter finally coming to Nova Scotia this year. Well most of that snow is long gone and we have had some more mild weather. I would have never expected to be playing in Nova Scotia 10 days before Christmas but with the weather as it is and a golf course open, I am going to get out there. Yesterday, Dave Logan and I made our way to Granite Springs Golf Course in Bayside and had a very enjoyable game. The fairways are more narrow than we are used to at Hartlen Point but we were up to the challenge. Granite Springs is very scenic and the course is in good shape. It was warm enough for me to take off my jacket and gloves.

Golf at this time of the year here is very unusual as are the hurricane like storms which are ravaging British Columbia at this time and which have certainly caught the attention of the press. At Granite Springs a couple of news people (CBC and Global) showed up with cameras and our golfing efforts were captured on video. Last night our foursome was shown on CBC's "The National". Unfortunalty, all I saw of me was my feet and putter as I made my putt on number nine. The Global guy actually interviewed me but my inspiring words did not make their broadcast. Sigh.

Well, surely this must be my last post concerning golf for this year.
