This winter I have been walking quite a bit trying to keep myself fit for the next golfing season. I have been keeping up the routine now that I am in Durham, England. I walk about 1 out of 2 days which is a little less than I was doing back home and the distance I do (just over 10k) is also about 4k less. However, Durham is a place just made for walking. Most of my walks, early in the morning, take me through the old town down along the river Wear with the old Cathedral always somewhere on the skyline. I took this picture on one of my morning outings. I eventually walk out to the village of Shincliffe and then make my way back to Durham. I usually end up at a little coffee shop called "Esquires" overlooking the river and Framwelgate bridge. Sipping a latte, I watch all manner of folk coming into town. Its a great way to start the day.
