The new Wardroom and C&POsEarlier this month I took a walk in Halifax and passed by the construction site that is soon going to be the new Wardroom and C&POs. I took this picture just at the foot of the Angus L MacDonald bridge. All that remains of the old Wardroom building is the front section. It is visible just to the left of the white Senior Officer's residence. The new tower has a commanding view of the harbor and the Dockyard. It is a significant building.
While I was walking by the gate to the Maritime Command Museum, I stopped to have a look into Stadacona. From that vantage point I could see a total of 13 buildings. Of those 13 buildings, only 6 were standing when I joined the navy in 1965. There has been considerable construction and upgrading of infrastructure during the last 25 years in both the Dockyard and Stadacona.
